Stouts

Titanic – Cappuccino Stout

A nice full bodied stout, with the distinctive creamy coffee flavour associated with cappuccino. Its not just another coffee flavoured stout of which there are many around. . . It actually tastes like cappuccino. Nice beer.

Wilde Child – Over Indulgence

A nice sweet stout. Its supposed to taste like Irish Cream, and whilst there is a very slight hint of that about it, its not the most prominent of flavours. Dont let this put you off mind. Its a very nice beer all the same.

Atom – Gravity Well

A nice, but super strong imperial stout. Initially smells really sweet, and the first taste is like sweet caramel / chocolatiness, I had a couple of minutes between sips however and the next was super intense. . . Really tasted strong! Really enjoyed it, but I have had nicer stouts with similar taste profiles.

Titanic – Plum Porter Grand Reserve

I have never been so disappointed in a beer. This promises so much, but just doesnt deliver.

Firstly, its really not a bad beer at all! I love the original Plum Porter from Titanic. . . The issue with this is it just doesnt taste any different. I am truly gutted. It is supposed to be the standard, but infused with port. I cannot taste any port, or anything different over the original. I did taste a slight metallic taste to it, but on inspection, the bottle cap was slightly rusted, which may have caused this.

I have waited for a long time to order a bottle of this, but it just isn’t worth the extra cost!
