Wood’s – Shropshire Lad

A nutbrown coloured sweet tasting malty ale. Has a slight bitterness to the aftertaste, and is really quite smooth. Little bit lacking in overall flavour profile for me.

Titanic – Cherry Dark

This is a nice beer. All the nuttiness and maltiness associated with a nice brown ale, but with the pleasing side notes of cherry coming through. Its quite sweet and all round nice.

Ridley’s – Old Bob

From the Greene King brewery. This is one of the better pints I have tasted of theirs. . . Its a brown ale with a real nutty flavour to it, quite unique and very quaffable! πŸ™‚

Harper’s Brewing Co. – Toffee Ale

This is a special buy from Aldi, stocked over Christmas. Its nice, kind of a standard brown ale, with a definite toffee smell, and a sweet toffee flavour, without being sickly, the finish is bitter, so it balances out.
