Schofferhofer – Hefeweizen

Grapefruit juice blended wheatbeer. Its super juicy and fruity, sweet, but with the tang of grapefruit and not too heavy on the booze, making it ideal for the long summer days.

All in all a really nice, tasty beer.

Erdinger – Dunkel

A dark brown version of the classic, readily available German wheat beer. Its got the usual flavours associated with a wheat beer, but with a richness and deeper malty flavours overlaid. I really enjoyed it, and I prefer it to the original actually.

Brouwerij Lekker – Witbier

A pretty standard tasting wheatbeer, not bad, not great. Claims to have coriander and orange peel in it, but I couldn’t detect the faintest hint of either.

Sampled from: Can

Country of Origin: Belgium

ABV – 4.6%

Would I recommend? Its OK

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 3/5
