Brew York Vs. Amundsen – A New Beginning

The first in the Freaky Franchise series, released to celebrate Brew Yorks 5th birthday. Its a Coffee, Blueberry, Cacao, Walnut and Vanilla imperial breakfast stout. Brewed in collab with Amundsen. It is absolutely cracking. You can taste all of the individual elements of it, so tasty and complex. A real treat. Cant wait to try the rest.

Would I buy again? Of course (if I could afford it!)

Amundsen – Lorita

A Passionfruit pale ale. Which didnt massively taste of passionfruit if I am honest. . . It was nice, refreshing and definitely had a fruitiness to it, but it wasnt the best Amundsen beer Ive tried.

Amundsen – Chuggernaut

A Hazy session IPA. Nice, light, fresh hazy IPA with citrussy flavours, super refreshing and a great all round pint, perfect chilled on a summers day (I would imagine).

Amundsen – Christmas Morning

Breakfast waffle stout. Not really sure what to make of this one. Yeah, its nice, its tasty, sweet, but thats about it. Really pleased to have tried it, but after the Super Santa, its a bit of a let down.

Amundsen – Super Santa

All the way from Norway, this is the most chocolately beer I have tasted, like it doesnt even taste of beer at all. . . its just like liquid chocolate in a can. Very, very nice. If you are into sweet beers, it will not disappoint.

Lervig – Perler for Svin

Its a bit hazy, but I was expecting a pretty standard hoppy affair. I was wrong. . . it was pretty smooth, fruity, a touch herby and a generally nice refreshing beer.

Graff Brygghus – Humlesjark

Its a strong IPA, nothing particularly distinctive about it, though it may be the only Norwegian beer I have tried.

Country of Origin: Norway

ABV – 7.5%

Would I recommend? If you are into IPA’s, not for me.

Would I buy again? No
