Stouts

8 Wired Brewing Co. – iStout Affogato

Wow, its an imperial stout weighing in at 10% all the way from New Zealand.

Its super strong, but lactose infused, so its smooth in equal measure. . . It tastes of smooth coffee, like a latte type. And has a sweetness to it. Very nice beer.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 10%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 5/5

Brewdog – Jet Black Heart (Nitro)

Wow, this is absolutely the smoothest beer I have ever tried at home, it is like pure silk in a glass. I know this is predominantly down to the nitrogen, but honestly its mind blowing.

The beer itself, I have tried once before from a bottle and it was relatively unremarkable. Somehow it just tastes incredible. Honestly, its one of the best I have had. Ridiculously smooth, sweet, chocolatey, vanilla comes through, just a perfect pint!

Sampled from: Can

Country of Origin: USA

ABV – 6%

Would I recommend? Absofrickenlutely

Would I buy again? Without a shadow of a doubt

Rating: 5/5

Guinness – Original

So. . . Its not the original. . . Its actually the first stout they made, but owld Arthur was originally into producing Porters. This used to be called Guinness XX or Guinness Extra Stout.

Its similar to the super smooth draught version the whole world knows, but. . . Not as smooth and slightly more harsh. Its a good solid reference for a stout.

Bottle / Can

3/5
