Adnams Vs. Thornbridge – Nevermore

An india porter. A paler, more brown hybrid cross between an IPA and a porter. Its wierd, but its not too bad. hoppy, and roasty. has all the flavours you would expect, but a bit of an identity crisis in a can!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5%

Would I recommend? Worth a try

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 3/5

Brew York Vs. Naparbier- The Revenge

A Maple & Pecan Imperial Milk Stout. Its pretty incredible, sweet maple syrup, and pecan nuts come through in abundance, in a super smooth stout that tastes nowhere near as strong as it is.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 12%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 5/5

BAD Co. – American IPA

A copper coloured IPA brewed exclusively for ASDA. Its not bad, but not great, pretty middle of the road in terms of hoppiness, and it has a more floral / herby flavour profile.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5.2%

Would I recommend? Not Really

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 2/5

Wood’s – Shropshire Lad

A nutbrown coloured sweet tasting malty ale. Has a slight bitterness to the aftertaste, and is really quite smooth. Little bit lacking in overall flavour profile for me.

Sampled from: Tap

ABV – 4.5%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Possibly

Rating: 3.5/5
