Brew York – HHH

A Double Dry Hopped IPA from Brew York. Its very hoppy, and quite delicately floral. Hazy and nicely refreshing. Super pale straw coloured, and generally a really pleasant beer, without being overly strong and quite sessionable.

Erdinger – Dunkel

A dark brown version of the classic, readily available German wheat beer. Its got the usual flavours associated with a wheat beer, but with a richness and deeper malty flavours overlaid. I really enjoyed it, and I prefer it to the original actually.

Taproom – Over the Water

Session IPA from Home Bargains. It was super cheap so I wasn’t expecting much. Its actually not too bad. hoppy and a little fruity, nothing special, but Ive tasted far worse for a lot more outlay.

Brew York Vs. Amundsen – A New Beginning

The first in the Freaky Franchise series, released to celebrate Brew Yorks 5th birthday. Its a Coffee, Blueberry, Cacao, Walnut and Vanilla imperial breakfast stout. Brewed in collab with Amundsen. It is absolutely cracking. You can taste all of the individual elements of it, so tasty and complex. A real treat. Cant wait to try the rest.

Would I buy again? Of course (if I could afford it!)

Brew York – The Mangolorian

A mango and lime milkshake IPA. I was a little let down by this one, its super fruity, and thick, dark yellow in colour and initially tasted really good, but. . . the after taste is a bit minging. I think its the lime, but it doesn’t taste like lime if you know what I mean, it was an odd, tarty almost artificial flavour that I wasn’t keen on.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 6.2%

Would I buy again? No

Rating: 2.5/5

To Øl – Gose to Hollywood

A nice and refreshing zesty orange Gose, which is quite sour, but nice. A lot of sediment, but ultimately I think this is the best Gose I have tried.

Brew York – BA Chocwerk Orange

The 3rd in the series of Brew Yorks state of mind series. This one is a testiment to the Terrys Chocolate Orange, which was invented in York. Its matured in Masala Wine casks, and is superb. It literally tastes of Chocolate Orange.
