Porters

Brew York – Up in Smoke

Maple and Cherry wood Barbecue smoked porter. Tastes a bit like dark chocolate with a slight fruitiness to it. After taste has the smokiness, but its not overpowering. Another cracking beer from Brew York.

Northern Monk – Stars & Stripes

Wow, this is incredible. A Peanut Butter & Jelly porter, inspired by our American cousins.

Firstly. . . I genuinely cannot taste the PB&J flavour, but what I can say is its a very nice, fruity porter, with a definate sweetness about it. Its very, very nice.

Elgood’s – Plum Porter

This is quite possibly the best Plum Porter I have tried. It just to say pips Titanics offering, due to a bit more in the flavour department, its just as smooth, but this has a distinctly licouriciness to it, whilst still being super fruity. Tastes a little like those Blackcurrent and Liquurice hard boiled sweets. Very nice.

Fierce – Cafe Racer

Coffee & Vanilla Porter.

Nice, I can taste the coffee and the vanilla gives a nice sweetness. Though its not as sweet as some. Generally a really good drink.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 6.5%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Of course.

Rating: 4/5
