Dogma Brewery – Dockers Hook Guatemala

A supposed robust coffee porter. . . Not so much, I mean it has a very slight taste of coffee to me, but it does have a solid hoppy, malty porter profile. Enjoyed it, but slightly disappointed at the lack of coffee flavour.

Hammerton – City of Cake

A Chocolate fudgecake stout. Well its sweetish, but not overly-so. . . doesnt particularly taste of fudge cake though. All in all not a bad stout.

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 3.5/5

Harviestoun – Raspy Engine

A raspberry stout. Its not as bad as it sounds, yeah its sweet and fruity, with a chocolatey backbone, but its quite drinkable, maybe a tad sickly if you have a few?

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5.3%

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 4/5

Adnams Vs. Thornbridge – Nevermore

An india porter. A paler, more brown hybrid cross between an IPA and a porter. Its wierd, but its not too bad. hoppy, and roasty. has all the flavours you would expect, but a bit of an identity crisis in a can!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5%

Would I recommend? Worth a try

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 3/5
