Reviews of individual beers.

Moor Beer Company – Stout

A super smooth, creamy and silky stout, nice malty flavours with a slight roasted harshness to round it off. Nothing fancy, a good old fashioned stout, made properly.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Deffo

Rating: 4/5

Bristol Beer Factory – Espresso Martini

An Espresso Martini Milk Stout.

Very disappointed in this one. Its nice and well rounded, but the coffee taste was not what I was expecting, its kind of subtle, also it lacked the sweetness you expect from its namesake. A good stout, a poor coffee beer.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 4.5%

Would I recommend? Absolutely

Would I buy again? Of course (if I could afford it!)

Rating: 3/5

Brew York – Haast’s Eagle

A fresh and hoppy DDH pale ale. Not as hazy as most I have sampled, but similar tasting. Using New Zealand sourced hops in honour of the town of Haast in New Zealand where the largest fossilised remains of an eagle were found.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 5.7%

Would I recommend? Absolutely

Would I buy again? Of course (if I could afford it!)

Rating: 3/5

Brew York Vs. Turning Point – BA Mocha Man Randy Savage

The second release of their state of mind Barrel Aged series, and its great!

A Chocolate and coffee imperial breakfast milk stout which has been barrel aged in Wild Turkey Bourbon casks for 18 months.

You can taste all of the individual flavours and it is just such a smooth, yet strong, sipping beer. Awesome!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 14%

Would I recommend? Absolutely

Would I buy again? Of course (if I could afford it!)

Rating: 5/5

The Hop Foundry – Twice As Nice

Wow, this is absolutely disgusting on every level. Its stinks of rotten veg and tastes sickly sweet and just foul. Horrid beer!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 6.6%

Would I recommend? Dont even think about it!

Would I buy again? Absolutely not, the worst beer I have tried!

Rating: 0/5
