Vocation Vs. Double Barrelled – Double Maple & Pecan

This is an imperial strength, barrel aged, pecan pie double stout. Its strong in alcohol, but not necessarily taste, IE. it doesn’t seem as alcoholic as the ABV suggests.

The flavour is complex, with a sweetness to it, but definately doesn’t particularly taste of either maple or pecan. The main flavour is the oakiness from the barrel aging process. Not that this is a problem at all, a beautiful beer that demands to be savoured.

Salt Vs. Beer Paradise – Stingo Bells

Panettone Stingo. Right, I have never tried a stingo before. . . apparently its a traditional Yorkshire style of beer.

Its fizzier than most for a start, had a lovely tartiness to it, but not sour. This was complimented nicely with a subtle fruity, and mild spiced rounded flavour.

It genuinely didn’t taste like Pannettone, but was a really good beer all the same. Cant wait to try another stingo!

Vocation Vs. Crate – Cooler Shaker

Passionfruit Milkshake IPA. OK, so its fruity, and definatley tastes of passionfruit. Its smooth because of the lactose infusion. But. . . Ultimately its not perfect. A bit kind of weak flavoured, like overly diluted squash.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 6.6%

Would I recommend? Possibly

Would I buy again? Probably

Rating: 3/5
