Buxton Brewery – Citra IPA

The product of a project where the brewery are brewing the same beer recipe time and time again, except with a different single hop type each time, a good way of profiling the hops and working out their unique effect on the flavour profile of beers.

This one is nice and citrussy, sharpish, but mellow enough to be thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing. A really simple yet effective beer. . .

Thornbridge – DDH Jaipur

Its a Double Dry Hopped version of the original, with a shiny green label to celebrate 15 years since the oiriginal Jaipur was first produced. Its nice, similar in flavour, but a bit hoppier and punchier.

Kaiju! – Cthulhu on the Moon

Black IPA. Its actually not bad, probably the best black IP I have tried.

Nice smokiness to what is a rather hoppy affair, but its not overkill as they usually are. Quite nice.

Brewdog – Overworks Grapefruit Graceland

Well, its not as sour as I thought it was going to be and tasted more malty than the original Elvis Juice, but I didn’t like it as much, a bit disappointed. Nothing particularly bad with it at all, but its not worth the extra you pay. I prefer the standard version.
