Kaiju! – Metamorphosis IPA

This was pretty good, has a very similar fruity flavour profile to that of Brewdogs PUNK IPA. Not too bad at all, quite hoppy, but decent amount of fruit with it, and generally a good supping beer.

Sampled from: Can

Country of Origin: Australia

ABV – 6.7%

Would I recommend? Yes, deffo worth a try

Would I buy again? Yeah

Rating: 4/5

Moon Dog – Cake Hole

Black Forest Stout. This was such a let down. . . its great as a solid stout, but there was next to no flavour of cherry or anything else you would associate with Black forest Gateaux, just a sweetish stout.

Sampled from: Can

Country of Origin: Australia

ABV – 6.5%

Would I recommend? Not particularly

Would I buy again? If there was nothing else dark.

Rating: 3/5

Brew York – Raspberry Pi(E)

A raspberry oat milkshake IPA. Its fruity and very sweet, massively raspberry flavoured, with a sweet vanilla sort of aftertaste. Its nice, but too sickly for me.

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 4.7%

Would I recommend? If you like them sweet, go for it. . .

Would I buy again? No

Rating: 3/5

Mikkeller – Do Stuff Together

NEIPA. Its nice, has the usual haziness, whilst being quite p[ale in colour. It fruity and citrussy, but nothing exceptional. Not a bad beer by any means, but not fantastic either.

Sampled from: Can

Country of Origin: Denmark

ABV – 4.7%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 3/5

Brew York – The Consultant

A super fruity NEIPA. This seems thick, not just hazy, it seems to have a slump to it, its like a meal in a glass. Its mega fruity with citrussy flavours coming through, but with just the right amount of hops too. A great beer. Its made with NZ hops for that exotic flavour, and is a collaboration with Drop Project who provided consultancy to Brew York on the build of their new brewery!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 7.5%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Deffo

Rating: 5/5
