Brewdog – Indie

A bog standard lager, such a letdown, but then I dont know what I was expecting for such a low price from B&M. I think its just because it has the Brewdog name attached that I maybe expected more. . . If you like lager, knock yourself out!

Sampled from: Can

ABV – 4.2%

Would I recommend? Yes, if your a lager drinker

Would I buy again? No

Rating: 2/5

Avaans – Kveik IPA

A nice hazy little number, citrussy from the hop profile and not mega OTT on the hop front. Not bad at all.

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 3/5

Brouwerij Lekker – Witbier

A pretty standard tasting wheatbeer, not bad, not great. Claims to have coriander and orange peel in it, but I couldn’t detect the faintest hint of either.

ABV – 4.6%

Would I recommend? Its OK

Would I buy again? Probably not

Rating: 3/5

Saltaire – Titus

This is a nice bitter, all the traditional maltiness and good honest, robust flavour you would associate with a quality bitter, with a nice fruity twang to it. Good stuff.

ABV – 3.9%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 4/5

Hambleton Ales – Nightmare Porter

Wow, this is incredible, in spite of its diminutive ABV, it packs a punch in the flavour department, super rich, chocolatey with a nice liquorice finish, super smooth, and potentially the best porter I have had. Superb.

Sampled from: Bottle

ABV – 5%

Would I recommend? Yes

Would I buy again? Yes

Rating: 5/5
