Chimay – Tripel

This has to be one of the most accessible Belgian beers, being available in a number of pubs and supermarkets throughout the country.

Obviously not all places will stock the Tripel, but most stock the Single and Dubbel.

Its very nice, tasty and strong as you would expect. Cant really say much more about it.

S43 Brewery – The Doctor

Hmmm, this is copper coloured, and thats about the most exciting thing about it. Its very weak flavoured, and would probably suit a Southern Softie, but not for me. . .

Theres really nothing to it.

Ridgeside – Boom & Crust

Its a cherry pie flavoured stout. . . but its also super strong. . . and the best bit. . . It actually tastes as it should. Although not all at the same time.

Its quite complex. Initially you get the harsh generic Stout flavour and the strength is apparent, this melts away into a biscuity pie crust sort of flavour, then you get the cherry, and I am pleased to say it actually tastes like cherry too, unlike a lot of supposedly cherry beers I have tried before.

ABV – 10.5%

Would I buy again? Absolutely

Rating: 5/5

Hiver – The Honey Ale

Right, this abortion is the worst honey infused beer I have tried. Its essentially lager with a mildly honey undertone. It brands itself as a Brown ale. . . Its not. . . Avoid.

Sampled from: Bottle

ABV – 4.5%

Would I recommend? No

Would I buy again? No

Rating: 1/5
